Pastor · Author · Bishop
More than fifty years in ministry, and one conviction that has never changed: the presence of Jesus changes everything.
Jonathan Vorce was born in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan, the son of a pioneering pastor, and preached his first sermon at the age of eight. He received his ministerial calling at Bible Holiness Assemblies of God Church in Neosho, Missouri, under Rev. D.C. Branham.
From 1985 to 1992 he served full time as an evangelist and missionary, taking the gospel into churches, onto the streets, into rest homes, and into correctional facilities. He has been a lead pastor of four congregations since 1993.
His teaching is plain, Scripture-anchored, and honest about the struggle. Every point traces back to a passage you can open and read for yourself.
Jonathan and his wife Donna married in 1990. About ten years in, they divorced. God intervened, and they remarried each other in 2001. That story is the heart of his book Divorced, Remarried, Restored, and it is why he does not talk about marriage, forgiveness, or restoration as theory. They have three children and seven grandchildren.
“The Word will work if you work the Word.”
He has also served on the boards of a Christian school and a chamber of commerce, in racial reconciliation coalitions, and in chaplaincy roles.
His books range from devotional titles like Presence Driven to textbooks used in the courses at Covenant University. Presence Driven: The Presence of Jesus Changes Everything is available as a free ebook.
